When is the best time to visit Bodrum?
In our opinion, anytime between April and November are the best seasons to visit Bodrum though July and August can be very hot and quite crowded. Even though April can be rainy, the weather is moderate. The town is not full of tourists. The weather may be cold at night. We would suggest you to bring a sweater. The weather in Bodrum combines the very best of the Mediterranean and the Aegean: mild winters, hot summers, extremely low humidity and over 300 days of sunshine a year. Serious sunbathers will enjoy non-stop hot sunshine between May and October, and over 12 hours of sunshine in the peak summer months. Summer weather in Bodrum is virtually rainless. Summer highs are often over 30º, though often tempered by breezes. Bodrum summers require a high-factor sun lotion. Bodrum weather is ideal for romantic, open air terraces and al fresco dining, with gorgeously warm nights and wondrously clear, starlit skies. Bodrum weather is ideal for swimming, water sports and diving. Warm seas reach a very relaxing 25º in the peak summer months.- Don' t forget to bring a hat and your sunscreen lotion. A light sweater for cool evenings (just in case) would be advisable. The tourist rush usually begins in June. Autumn, from mid-september to mid-november, is also a good season to visit Bodrum. Spring weather in Bodrum is absolutely idyllic for walking excursions, with the mountains still cool and green, carpets of wild flowers and trees in blossom. Autumn is a superb time to visit Bodrum. Autumn weather in Bodrum is similar to springtime: Bodrum remains alive, but blissfully free of tourists. The weather is mild but the days are shorter. There are less tourists around. The temperatures are comfortable for visiting historic sites and it is time for Bodrum’s famous wooden yacht regatta. No winter at Bodrum will probably see some rain but plenty of winter sunshine. There is no snow, no frost a good 5 or 6 hrs of sunshine and average temperatures as high as 18º. Bodrum weather is ideal for relaxed, year-round golf. Winter sun holidays in Bodrum will feature Christmas and New Year with the sizeable, permanent foreign community, copious tangerines, the exotic pleasures of camel wrestling and the occasionally need for a gently heated room! it can be annoying for a traveler...or may be fun..
We would suggest you to check the weather forecast, before you come to Bodrum.
